Queensbury Theatre Main Stage Presents Mean Girls, Running August 6-16

Queensbury Theatre, West Houston’s historic non-profit theatre located in CityCentre, today announced the details of their 2026 Main Stage production and Houston’s regional premiere of the newly revised West End production of Mean Girls, running August 6-16. Abigail Bensman will star as Cady Heron (“Brenda” in the Broadway National Tour of Hairspray, “Marilyn Wald” in Theatre Under The Stars’ Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), alongside Kathryn Jacobson as Regina George (“Clarrisa” in Queensbury’s production of Unlock’d, “Heather Chandler” in Theatre Under The Stars’ Heathers); Teresa Zimmermann as Janis Sarkisian (“Cynthia Weil” in Theatre Under The Stars’ Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, “Violet” in Queensbury’s production Violet); Marco Camacho as Damian Hubbard (“Leaf Coneybear” in Theatre Under The Stars’ Spelling Bee, “Charlie Brown” in Queensbury’s A Charlie Brown Christmas); Sara Sachi as Gretchen Wieners (“Dorothy” in Queensbury’s The Wizard Of Oz, “Mae Florence” in Stages’ production of You Are Cordially Invited to Sit-In); and Holland Vavra as Ms. Heron, Ms. Norbury, and Mrs. George (“Glinda” in Queensbury’s The Wizard of Oz, “Genie Klein” in Theatre Under The Stars’ Beautiful: The Carole King Musical). On Thursday, August 6, the theatre will hold a preview performance ahead of Opening Night on Friday, August 7. Evening performances begin at 7:30 PM on Thursdays and 8 PM on weekend dates, with a 2 PM matinee on Saturdays and Sundays. Following the Thursday, August 13th performance, Queensbury will host a “Plastics Pride Night” with a free event following the show. The show is rated PG-13, and the estimated running time is 2 hours with one intermission.
