Kemikalfire

Biography

Their respective tour vehicles parked in a Mall of America parking lot in 2009, Arejay Hale and Taylor Carroll easily recognized each other as potential rockers on tour and their kemistry was instant. Becoming fast friends and staying in touch through the years, in 2015 they found themselves in a bar in LA talking about working together some day. As many conversations like that go, their busy touring schedules and life get in the way and “some day” perpetually never seems to come. Leave it to a global pandemic to stop everything in its tracks and allow Arejay and Taylor to turn “some day” into right now. Writing, recording and creating demos together over FaceTime, Zoom or in the studio in Los Angeles, whenever possible, KEMIKALFIRE was born. Arejay and Taylor enlisted the help of producers and writers Scott Stevens and Erik Ron to develop the first demos and solidify the unique sound and direction of the band. And that is precisely what KEMIKALFIRE is, a band in its truest form: two people working harmoniously to create music both in the studio and on the stage. Headlining their first show at the Knitting Factory in North Hollywood, CA in January 2023 saw their efforts come to fruition when they performed their unreleased original music to an adoring crowd. The kemistry and energy between Arejay Hale & Taylor Carroll was palpable and had the crowd abuzz with fans singing back the second chorus after having only heard it once before. Their blistering performance ensured that everyone in that room was witness that KEMIKALFIRE’s “some day” has indeed arrived.

KEMIKALFIRE will be revealing their first studio recordings in Spring 2023. Stay tuned!
